AFRICA AND INTERNATIONAL USE OF ENERGY CONFERENCES 2022

Cape Town Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town

For over 5 years, the AIUE have been aiding students and academia in organizing Energy meetings, symposia and fully fledged Energy Conferences. Our events are usually interdisciplinary energy conferences, and in many past events top ranking workshops were attached. Industry specialists, Energy researchers, graduate and undergraduate students come together to participate in our conferences focusing on key energy issues, inviting other academics and professionals from around the globe to participate in important discussions.

The annual Energy and Human Habitat (EHH) and Energy in Industry and Commerce (EIC) conference is a collaborative effort of several academics in the Western Cape, and are two flagship conferences in the region. These conferences are since 2020 co-hosted under the very prestigious and renowned Enlit Africa and Initiate! (previously Africa Utility week and Power Africa Conference events). The AIUE provides organizational support to the conference, which is organized and executed by academics from various Universities in South Africa.

The conference publishes the research work in Proceedings, after the submitted work was fully peer-reviewed according to criteria that satisfy DHET requirements. The authors have the unique opportunity to have their digital presentation done on the Enlit Africa platform with full event participation from external participants, industry leaders, and a live participation with session chairs at the conference. Our digital event with Enlit Africa is likely the best in Africa when it comes to conferences of this nature, giving the authors maximum exposure and links with other academia and industry leaders of note.

On top of this, our digital conferences are FREE.

10am - 3pm

Africa and International Energy Congress 2020

The conference is a celebration of the convenience of electricity and investigates new ways to “do more with the energy you use” in the age approaching the 4IR. The productive use of a strategic resource by an ever expanding base of consumers in both the Industrial and business sector means that South Africa must grow in innovation and resilience amidst challenges facing the Energy Sector.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic AIUE Congress 2020 was moved to a Digital Virtual Format after it is now evident that a physical event may not be possible. After deep considerations of the Advisory Board and Organisation team we found that the only responsible behaviour of organisers is to make it virtual this year. This is based not only on safety issues but also on uncertainty for the months ahead, where the situation may escalate and cause various and difficult problems. A bonus for presenters is that a much reduced fee rate applies to our event this year. So please register and submit your paper.
